More than anything, your fees dictate your profit. Time-based pricing is profitable. Time and value based pricing is even more profitable.
The most profitable set up is one where you make as much as possible by doing as little as possible while satisfying your clients needs.
Rather than selling billable hours where you have to work more to make more, you should sell them results and value. In this way you simply have to give more value to make more.
This can easily be done with processes and systems to maximize your efficiency to achieve more value with fewer hours.
